We endeavour to ensure that TMPC is a time of encouragement for all attendees. We keep a large amount of free time in the program to allow time for fellowship with others, and to enjoy the food and the view!
Speakers. TMPC has homeschool speakers who speak from their heart, reflecting on their own experiences and encouraging us from God’s word.
Children. As in recent years, there is no children's program run through the sessions other than an outdoor games session during the Mum’s and Dad’s Panel, run by the older youth and unmarried adults attending the camp. Parents are responsible to supervise their children in the sessions, and one idea is to bring quiet activity resources for your children to play with. Free time is a good opportunity for them to mix and fellowship with other like-minded families. The experience at other TMPC has been that the children have a ball, playing, learning, eating, and just spending time with other homeschooling children.
Sunday Morning Church Service. This is an opportunity for all of us to worship together. While we come together as Christian Homeschoolers, the most significant thing that unifies us, the most lasting, is that we are saved by the blood of Jesus and adopted into the Father’s family.
Mum’s and Dad’s Panels. Due to the success of these sessions at multiple TMPC, we will again be having a Mums’ panel and a Dads’ panel, where we have set aside time to enable Mums and Dads, separately, to share with each other, with the hope that we will encourage and spur each other on in our homeschool journeys.
Free Time. Free time is exactly that! There will be no planned activities during that time so that it is your time, to do with it what you want. Ridgecrest does have a jumping pillow, an oval for running and ball games, a large hall with Ping-Pong tables and pool table, piano, bush walks, and access to Burrendong Dam for swimming. Another option is to bring along any card or board games you think others may enjoy. If any in your family play a musical instrument, feel free to bring them along also.
Resource Rummage. A chance to bring your pre-loved no longer needed resources to sell or give away. No time slot is allocated to this activity. Just when you have a moment, come and check it out. If you are bringing resources, please make sure your PRICE and Name are clearly visible to make it easy for the browsers.
HEA. This event is covered by Home Education Association Inc. (HEA) so please have your HEA membership number handy and sign the event attendance register.
Cost. This is a ‘non-profit’ conference - any money left over will go towards next year’s conference. In order to keep the costs down, each family needs to clean their cabin and public areas of the campsite at the close of the conference. Cleaning supplies will be provided for you to use. Also, each family will be assigned to help with some quick cleaning up after a meal. Details of costs are on the Registration page.
